You can even take it one step further to include things like temperament, sensitivity and curiosity.
In an effort to confirm your findings of your target audience, you should conduct some surveys of the people that use your product in an attempt to learn more about who they are. These surveys should be used to learn more about your consumers habits and why these use your product.
Look At Competitors
If you have more established competitors then chances are they have already done much of the market research and put it into action. If they target the same audience you do, observe and learn from the way they write and advertise their product to potential customers. Once you have a clear idea what they are doing, you can refine and improve this message in a way that shows the consumer why your product does a better job.
Look At Other Popular Products
You can learn from other companies besides just the ones you are competing with as well. Take a look at the products or services that your target audience is already using, even if it does not relate to your industry. Try to learn how these brands position themselves in the marketplace and the message they are sending to consumers.
You can learn more about your target audience by interacting with them directly, via social media. Look at what topics they are following most closely or who they are interacting with most frequently.
